The role of the Graduate Engineer will be to work with an experienced Engineer to design, analyse, verify, commission, and ensure compliance of projects according to national standards, best practices, and regulations. These projects include technical and agricultural problem solving and thinking outside the box. The Graduate Engineer will report to the senior project engineer for all phases of the integrated renewable energy solutions.
The successful candidate must demonstrate great attention to detail with excellent engineering and agricultural skills and multi-tasking abilities. The goal is to develop both an engineering and agricultural model for biogas plants in South Africa.
You may be required to meet critical project deadlines. The successful candidate should be willing to travel within South Africa, with travelling expected up to 40%, depending on project stages.

Position of the job in the organization:
The successful candidate will report directly to Senior Project Engineer on all project-related matters.
Principal responsibilities:
-
Conduct project feasibility studies by evaluating data and doing on-site evaluations.
-
Create concept project designs and engineering, including but not limited to prelim and detailed designs, sizing, analysing designs and compliance checking.

Provide engineering support to all teams from Sales to Operations.

Product research to ensure we are implementing up to date technology and solutions.

Facilitate and supervise activities required for the success of the agricultural and biogas production processes.

Any other job duties as assigned.

Establish safety protocols

Assist with equipment and technology providers due diligence
-
Assist with preparation and evaluation of tenders/RFQ
-
Document critical processes

PERSON DESCRIPTION
Experience:
-
University qualification(s) in Agricultural Engineering.
-
No formal industry experience is required.
-
A driver’s license is essential.
-
Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
-
Proficient in MS Word, Microsoft Projects and highly competent in Excel.
Advantageous skills include:
