Role Purpose

Responsible to monitor and correct network quality impacting problems, liaise with other departments where required, to get resolutions to subscriber impacting faults, and generally improve network performance and subscriber experience
 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Network Performance  analysis and corrections, assisting counties to drive resolutions  - Ensure that network quality is  regularly monitored on all technologies monitored and any performance impacts are rectified as soon as possible
  • RAN Network Configuration planning, Implementation, and monitoring – Job Order Creation, liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure upgrades and integrations occur seamlessly with post-performance KPI checks.

  • NED Analysis and investigation - Constant monitoring of NED i.e. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly as well as consolidating feedback from the counties and supplying it to the NMG PM team
  • New Network Element Integration - Ensure new network entities are specifically tracked wrt performance to have minimal impact on the region, this also overlaps with the NED monitoring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • 3yr Degree/National Diploma (minimum)
  • 5-8 years work experience in the telecoms industry
  • Network Planning & Optimisation
  • RAN Knowledge
  • Project Management skills
  • TX knowledge
  • Huawei Equipment Knowledge preferable

 

The base location for this role is Midrand, Vodacom Campus
