Core Description
Maintain and support the performance of reliable IT Infrastructure services. This role will provide IT support of business processes and strategies through the integration of various technologies.
Work closely with project managers, business users, and technical team members to provide support for projects and initiatives ranging in size from minor enhancements to major multi-year initiatives. Develop and document an enterprise architecture framework and an enterprise scorecard for IT Infrastructure.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of Information Security, Networking, Server and Storage Management Endpoint Support different platforms, and Active Directory.
- Contract and/or Supplier Management; Communication; Telkom Procedures; Financial Coordination Customer Business.
- Information Technology Solutions (ITS); Statistical Procedures; Telecommunication Systems; Telkom Policies

Job Responsibilities
- Work with the information security and compliance teams.
- Develop short-and long-range IT infrastructure plans and drive the execution.
- Prepare formal project documentation, including specifications, requirements summaries, and logical system design documents.
- Deliver reliable and cost-effective IT Infrastructure Services (e.g. Network, Server Management, Storage, File Sharing, PCs, Mobility, Virtualization, Email, Messaging, Remote Connectivity, Cloud Computing and Integration).
- Ensure compliance to service level agreements for managing IT Infrastructure Services that are aligned to business needs.
- Conduct infrastructure testing.
- Critically evaluate requests that impact systems and ensure efficient end-to-end process understanding before making decisions and changes.

Experience
- 3 years relevant degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering (NQF 6) with 3 years relevant experience in an IT Infrastructure role which 1 year must be in supporting cloud based platforms.
- OR Grade 12 (NQF4) with 5 years relevant experience in an IT Infrastructure role which 1 year must be in supporting cloud based platforms.
Special Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to work outside normal working hours and/or flexi hours
- Willing to travel and stay out overnight
