The purpose of the role is to manage a team of MI Analysts to provide data analytics and insights to make a positive impact across Nedbank Insurance Distribution to achieve Nedbank Insurance's penetration and cross sell goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic input into the effective management of NI distribution to achieve the desired outcomes and targets.
- Provide direction and support to improve the usage of data to drive quality sales and retention.
- Ensure delivery against NI data analytics roadmap.
- Ensuring the provision of accurate and timeous KPI tracking and trending across NI Distribution.
- Promote data driven decision making through: The delivery of ad hoc data requests; The development of a suite of standardised MI reports; Automation and dashboard development; Proactively share information and insights.
- Ensuring the maintenance, monitoring and continous improvement of data environment and reports.
- Provide budget projections for 3 year planning, adhering to strict submission deadlines throughout the process.
- Provide business and insights support into the Stakeholder relationships.
- Support information utilised in sales campaigns, not provided by the Corporate Actuarial Team.
- Responsible for being NI Distribution market conduct lead: Liasing with Customer Experience regarding requirements and submission.

- Provide input into NI market conduct scorecard by agreet date and in agreed format; Interpretation of market conduct scorecard measures.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management of CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) according to NI stakeholder framework.
- Ensuring and supporting accurate Insurance data inclusion for segment and cluster reporting.
- Keeping abreast with BI industry developments.
- Strict adherence to Nedbank data compliance and regulation.
- Ensure continous oversight and support of MI Specialist in the team.
- Prioritisation of deliverables.
- Promote an environment of learning and innovation in the data analytics team.
- Management of a team.
People Specification
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Informatics
- Post Graduate qualification in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Informatics
