Functional Competencies
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of contract law.
- Thorough knowledge of property law.

- Good understanding and knowledge of the law related to the additional portfolios listed.
- Schedule-driven with the ability to ensure that external and internal compliance obligations are met on time.
- Timeous completion of all instructions.
- Excellent drafting skills (with attention to detail) with particular experience in drafting and finalizing simple and template contracts.
- Legal formatting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong administration skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Maturity to deal with and communicate effectively with senior executives and other relevant external stakeholders.
- Aptitude to perform the role with discretion, diplomacy, tact, and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in written form.
- Integrity, independence and solid judgment.
- Have a positive, self-motivated approach and be confident in showing initiative.
- Excellent computer skills (including word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, Office and all Microsoft packages).

Minimum Qualification
- Completed articles
- Admitted attorney
Experience required
- At least 3 years post qualification experience in the commercial or contracts department of a reputable law firm or in an in-house legal team of a large corporate.
