Driver KSS at Anglo American

We are currently looking for Driver for our KSS project. You will be required to travel from Postmasburg to Kapstevel South on a daily basis.

We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.

We are currently looking for a Driver to assist Kumba Iron Ore transporting clients and owners’ team for the duration of the Project, other duties will be the following:

• Operating vehicle and adhering to all rules and regulations, prescribed transportation standards and company policies to ensure effective and safe transportation of passengers in accordance with needs programmes and customers’ schedules
• Ensuring that all required equipment is available and on-site inspection is done
• Adhering to all health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment
• Providing assistance according to own level / area of competence and in accordance with company policies to the Supervisor and co-workers to ensure achievement of functional objectives

You will be required to have:

• Grade 12
• Driver’s Licence code C1 with PDP
• 1- 3 years operational experience as a driver
• Driving within the mining environment will be advantagous
