The Maintenance team at Fancourt, is now accepting applications for a Plumber someone with drive and passion for the industry and with the ability to maintain and repair all plumbing infrastructure and associated systems.

We consider the following as essential:

Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):

  • Manage assigned job cards,
  • Design & manage the yearly plumbing maintenance schedule and ensure that the checklists are up to date,

  • Design & manage the plumbing replacements e.g. geysers for resort,
  • Ensure all new plumbing installations to be in accordance with the SABS requirements,
  • Ensure all tools are stored in tool store at end of day and to keep inventory updated and tools in a good working condition,
  • Perform any reasonable maintenance tasks required by Technical Manager,
  • Manage and maintain generators,
  • Ensure good working relationship with other departments and co-workers,
  • Attend all maintenance related meetings,
  • Maintain health and safety requirements at all times,
  • Assist maintenance team members if and when required,
  • Design handyman training schedule and arrange training session with Operational Manager.

Adverse working conditions:

  • Must be physically fit to carry heavy items / objects,
  • Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays,
  • Must be prepared to work outdoors,
  • Must be prepared to work shifts & be on standby for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent coupled with a completed apprenticeship and trade test as a Plumber,
  • A valid drivers license,
  • A minimum of 5 years plumbing experience.
