Purpose of Position:
- To ensure the maintenance; development and improvement of the quality system and to determine whether quality activities and related results comply with the arrangements made in order to achieve the objectives set out in the Quality policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate and perform internal audit tasks in order to identify non-conformances.
- Perform administrative tasks in order to ensure correct recording and handling of audit data and departmental documentation.
- Perform SANAS related administration tasks for assessment applications to ensure quality standards are adhered to.
- Perform administrative tasks for TQM trainings to ensure relevant staff competency levels are upheld.
- Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.

Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National diploma in medical technology
- Registered with HPCSA as medical technologist
- 3 years experience working as a Medical technologist within laboratory environment
- 2 - 3 years experience working with QC, accreditation, safety and audit procedures within a laboratory environment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Basic knowledge of Open Office
- Basic knowledge of Google Mail
- Knowledge of quality and accreditation procedures and regulations
- Knowledge of accreditation systems
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of internal audit procedures
- Computer skills
- Communication skills
- Numerical reasoning skills
Advantageous:
- Registered with HPCSA as a Clinpath Medical technologist
- SANAS assessor training
- 1 year working experience as a Senior Medical technologist in a laboratory experience
- Knowledge of the Meditech system
