Job description
A Growing Hotel Group and Conference Centre in East London is seeking an Executive Chef to be responsible for the management of the kitchen including the overall preparation and production of food to the required quality in a cost effective manner and in accordance with the Hotel's operational requirements and standards.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong management and organisational ability.
- Demonstrate commitment to uncompromising standards of excellence.
- Have strict food cost control
- Ensure all health/cleanliness and safety procedures are adhered to.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff.
- Maintain a high level of food quality and production in keeping with the hotel's standards set in exceeding the guest's expectations
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Chef Diploma and/or 3 years’ experience in a Senior position
- PC literate
- Good command of English and ability to communicate in English
- Ability to manage staff
- Logical and positive attitude and approach towards duties and guests
- Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
- Fully knowledgeable and up-to-date on Tourism trends
