Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, greeting callers, providing information, transferring calls and/or taking messages as necessary;
- Route emergency calls appropriately;

- Communicate with individuals to inform them of telephone calls;
- Relay and route written and verbal messages;
- Place telephone calls or arrange conference calls as instructed;
- Perform clerical duties, such as typing, proofreading, accepting orders, scheduling appointments, and sorting mail;
- Provide basic helpdesk assistance where possible for internal queries; and
- Assist in logging and updating unified call desk queries on the appropriate system.
Position Specification
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- 2 Years’ experience in switchboard operations
- Previous experience in the Higher Education Sector will be advantageous
- Computer literate
