The successful applicant will report to the relevant Manufacturing Supervisor and Reagent Manufacturing Manager. The role entails providing technical production support to Manufacturing Scientists and supporting production within the Reagent Manufacturing group to meet the requirements of downstream production and market demand for Roche DIA Cape Town products. This is an 8 month contract position.

 

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Assumes accountability for production documentation, ensuring timeous manufacturing and accurate production detail recording, whilst maintaining low obsolescence, waste and non-conformance's.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of selected pieces of equipment and production areas.

  • Keeps Manufacturing Supervisor informed of production progress and delays, particularly for critical problem areas.
  • Participates in routine lab responsibilities, lab safety, ISO and QMS responsibilities
  • Assist with building a team culture of excellence, exceptional work ethic, superior quality of work and collaborative team spirit.

 

2.2.Qualifications and Education Requirements

BSc, BTech in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or another relevant biological/biomedical discipline.

  • The ability to work in an accurate and meticulous manner within specified time frames while planning daily activities on multiple levels.
  • Accountability, the ability to multitask, perform consistently under pressure and work without supervision.
