The Endowment is recruiting an HR Officer to support our growing and diverse group of entities. We off an inspiring and flexible working environment, the autonomy that allows one to make an immediate impact within a short space of time and many opportunities to learn, grow, and work with a great team. You will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems across the entire employee lifecycle. This role will focus on supporting all aspects of HR including (but not limited to): recruitment and selection, learning and development, administration, performance management, remuneration, employee wellness, and HR reporting (such as Employment Equity and Workplace Skills Plan ). The position will support entities across the Endowment and Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropy.

Objectives of Role

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the HR deliverables in active participation with HR manager
  • Maintain HR and Leave Administration on BambooHR & Employee Self-Service Manage and maintain employee records for all entities
  • Coordinate the recruitment processes for roles up to middle management across entities
  • Facilitate and provide feedback on assessment testing of short-listed candidates
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction of new staff Drive the process of Performance Management across the various entities
  • Develop and Implement HR related policies and procedures in consultation with the HR Manager.
  • Employee Wellness Management Provide advice and assistance on Industrial Relations matters related to BCEA, LRA, EEA, and SDA as well as procedures relating to grievances and disciplinary action
  • Assist with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary
  • Support the development of implementation of new HR initiatives and systems
  • Assist in learning and development programmes
  • Provide confidential ad hoc advice and assistance to staff.
  • Facilitate Statutory Report Submissions
  • Prepare Remuneration files and reporting

Experience and Qualifications

What we need:

  • Identification with the Endowment’s Vision, Mission, and Ethos
  • Minimum 3-year Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experienced in HR-related payroll, and people management systems
